The Revd Dr Andrew Wood became the District Chair on 1st September 2006. His previous appointment was as Superintendent
of the Eastleigh Circuit. He is keen to help the District reflect on contemporary culture and to read the signs of the times as the basis for developing
new strategies for mission and development. |

The Revd Lesley Martin is now in her second year as Synod Secretary, a role she fulfils alongside her ministry in
the Eastleigh Circuit where she has pastoral charge of two churches. Lesley worked in the Civil Service before training as a minister where she
developed the administrative skills she now uses to good effect in her District work. |

Marilyn Pack has served under three District Chairs and five Synod Secretaries during her time as District
Administrator. As Assistant Secretary of the Synod, District Chair’s PA and District Policy Executive Secretary, she exercises a key role in
co-ordinating and facilitating the work of the District. |

The Revd Jenny Ellis is now in her fourth year as part-time TDO. She is currently coordinating some
creative and pioneering work for the District in building up a training and support network for churches and circuits embarking on
Fresh Expressions. She is also the District’s representative on the new South Central Regional Training Partnership. |

Nicola Briggs is also in her fourth year as District Youth Officer. As well as providing support for locally based youth workers across
the district, Nicola is currently encouraging voluntary workers with children and young people in churches and circuits to tackle the new
CORE skills training programme. |
